Report Card Celebration!

Madison got her "report card" today for the year. She did fantastic! There was much improvement on letters, numbers, colors, and shapes! She was even able to trace her name! Her teachers had nothing but good things to say about her, which as a parent makes you very proud! We asked her what she wanted to do to celebrate and she loudly said "Dave and Busters!" So off we went! We had a fun evening of playing games, and as another reward she got to pick out candy with her tickets! We are so proud!

Sun, Sand, and Water..Very Cold Water

It was awesome outside today after work, so we packed up and headed to Huntington Beach after work today.  Madison had a blast running around the beach, playing in the sand, and finding rocks!  She also had a a blast chasing the seagulls!  It was a good thing I didn't put her in her bathing suit because the kid totally would have been down for swimming, and the water was COLD!  Didn't phase her at all!  She went in up to her knees and had a blast splashing in the water.  I can't wait for warm weekend days when we can pack up some lunches and head to the beach for a full day of fun in the sun!!

Sprinkler Fun!

After we got home from the zoo today, it was still nice out.  We dug out Madison's sprinkler and let her have some fun.  This year she was totally into it!  She just kept running through it and laughing and smiling her little head off!  Then, of course, she wanted Mommy and Daddy to come play with her!  So, we all ran through the sprinkler to cool off.  Even Buddy got in on the fun!  I can't wait for more hot days like today so we can do this more often! We also can't wait until we set up her little pool again.  :)

Lions and Tigers and Bears, Oh My!

It was gorgeous outside today so we headed off to the Zoo! Madison immediately wanted to go ride a camel so we did that first! Then she wanted to feed the birds, so of course we headed that way. She had a blast trying to get the birds to come over to her so she could feed them. After that, we took a ride on the little train that they have. We then stopped for some ice cream and made our way up to see the seals and the bears. It was a great couple hors and we can't wait to go back!

Cedar Point: Round One!

Saturday, we headed out to Cedar Point for the first time this year.  We snatched up our season passes and headed into the park for some fun.  Madison Has an unbelievable memory!  She remembered that Snoopy and friends were there and wanted to head to the back of the park to see them first.  We did manage to get her on a few rides first.  She wanted to do the hopper, school bus ride, and the spinning cups with daddy since mommy doesn't go anywhere near things that spin.  She had so much fun spinning that thing around and around.  She was laughing the whole way around.  We then headed back to the back of the park so we could eat lunch and see Snoopy.  Once her character meeting was done, we headed over to the Woodstock Express.  She was tall enough this year and was so excited to finally get on a real roller coaster there!  She absolutely LOVED it!  She smiled and laughed the whole ride.  Once it was over, she made Daddy go on it with her.  We then made our way over to the Jr. Gemini!  She loved that too!  She also remembered how you could mine for rocks there so of course we had to do that.  As we made our way out of the park we played a few games and then headed home.  She keeps talking about roller coasters, so I'm sure we will be making plenty of trips to Cedar Point this year!
