Fourth of July 2012!

This year, the 4th was a nice relaxing day.  After I went to the doctor for my scratched cornea (courtesy of Buddy) we threw some ribs on the grill with some corn on the cob.  My parents were in town this year so that was a very special treat!  Madison had a blast playing with water, sparklers, and watching Daddy light off a few fireworks!  The kid loved them!  She kept asking him to do "one more".  She also got to sport her special tutu that Grammy made for her.  It was a wonderful day and it was great that we got to spend it with the entire family!

Madison's First Dentist Appointment

Yesterday, Madison had her first dentist appointment! Jon and I were so proud of her!! There was not one tear shed! He opened wide when they asked her too and they were able to do a full cleaning!! She also got a bunch of goodies, which I'm sure helped! New toothbrush, t-shirt, her own toothpaste, and a pencil. So proud of you kiddo!

Grammy and Gramps Have Arrived!

Grammy and Gramps made it in to town today, YAY!!!!  And, of course, they had to bring Madison something cool!  Can anyone say mini coupe!  Yes, Madison got her first car, a pink mini coupe convertible!  She absolutely LOVES this thing!  She's not a bad driver either!  I have a feeling Jon and I will be getting our exercise chasing her in her new ride! She figured out the gas, forward, and revers, and she is working on her steering!  I'm sure it won't be long before she figures it out!  Once she was done driving her car around, there was a bunch of water play and then a walk in the woods before bed!  I hope she sleeps good, because Grammy and Gramps have a lot planned for our little one! :)

"Spray Him"

We recently figured out that Buddy LOVES getting sprayed with the hose!  This has become one of Madison's favorite past times and it sure gets some of Buddy's energy out!  They both run around the back yard and Madison will spray him with her squirt gun.  This then leads into her asking either Jon or myself for help in using the hose!  Buddy see the hose and goes NUTS, barking waiting for the water to come out!  Madison laughs so incredibly hard and  Buddy just keeps running at the water and through the water!
