Hillcrest Orchard Take Two!

We headed off to Hillcrest Orchard again this past weekend, only this time NO RAIN!!!  It was a gorgeous day on Saturday.  The sun was shinning and it was actually warm outside.  This time we got to take our time and enjoy picking the apples.  Once again, Madison had a blast riding the hayride out to the orchard.  She had fun running around finding the perfect apples! Memaw and Papa got to join us this time too! This time we also got to walk through the pumpkin patch and find three perfect pumpkins!  Madison took her time finding the pumpkin she wanted.

Mustach

So, Jon decided it would be fun to buy mustaches to put on.  Madison was laughing so hard when Jon put one on and then was laughing hysterically when she put one on.  So, we had fun wearing mustaches around the house.  Needles to say, I have been finding mustaches stuck to things around the house stuck to everything!

Hillcrest Orchard

Last weekend, we headed off to Hillcrest Orchard to pick some apples!  This place is great!  They have a play area for the kids, peddle cars, hayrides, and of course a huge orchard to pick apples.  Madison had fun getting her picture taken being all of the different characters cut outs they had.  We played for awhile and then hopped on the hay ride to get out to the orchard.  We literally got off the wagon and it started pouring!  We have never picked so many apples so fast!  Madison had fun though, laughing as we ran around grabbing apples!  We are planning to head back and spend some more time there and pick pumpkins from the pumpkin patch!

Ingenuity Festival 2012

We headed off to the Ingenuity Festival the other weekend!  This year it was at the Port Authority downtown.  Madison had a lot of fun!  There were plenty of activities that she was actually able to participate in this year.  She got to make the letter M out of apples for an Internet project, she got to make sock puppets, color on the big cardboard house, and make a balloon with a light in it.  She also really enjoyed listening to all the music that groups were playing.  It was a great way to spend a Sunday afternoon!
