Cuyahoga County Fair

This past weekend, we headed off to the Cuyahoga County Fair.  Madison had a blast this year.  She loved looking at all of the animals and of course we had to do a pony ride.  She also really enjoyed riding the rides this year.  This was the first year she could do them, and man, she just kept riding and riding.  Her favorite was the small roller coaster.  Every time she got off she would say "again, again, again".  She also won her first gold fish!  I almost fell over when she threw the ball and it landed in the bowl.  We have yet to turn in the certificate for it, we are still working on daddy! :)  They also had a Led Zepplin cover band playing that night, so she went to her first concert!  She was hysterical!  She was dancing all around and I swear, more people were watching her then were watching the band!  She even made it up to see the fireworks!  This was the first time she had seen a big fireworks show and she loved it!  Needless to say, as soon as we got in the car she was out!

Zoar Harvest Festival

Two weekends ago, we took a drive out to Zoar Ohio for their harvest festival.  It was about 20 minutes south of Canton.  The town was built in the 1800's and a lot of the original buildings are still there.  They were really neat to look at.  Madison's highlight was the carriage ride that she got to take.  She also got a muffin from the baker.  It was a great Saturday!

Livin' the Good Life

A couple of weekends ago Jon and I took Madison to spend the night downtown and stay at the Ritz!  The kid had a blast!  She was was known as "princess Madison" to all the staff and man, did they treat her like one.  Anything the kid wanted she got.  When we checked in she got her welcome gift, which was a cool little Elmo figurine.  We got to the room and she had fun jumping on the bed for a little bit.  We then headed off to take a ride on the Goodtime III.  She loved it!  We got some awesome views of the city.  We then went back to the hotel and she had a shirley temple.  We then got some pizza and watched a movie in the room before heading to the indoor pool.  We had fun swimming for awhile and then Madison asked Jon for her "night cap".  Yes, we promised her if she was good, she could get another shirley temple before bed.  While we were down there she started talking to one her friends that she had made.  The next thing we know, we were told to follow him, he had a surprise for us.  He took us up to the Executive floor so Madison could have a desert and mom and dad could have a real night cap!  So, basically Madison scored us free drinks!  While we were sitting up there, Madison's friend came back up with a crown, wand, and princess purse...she really was the Princess of the Ritz!  She also scored us free breakfast in the morning!  We had an amazing time and hope to do it again soon! 

Let's Go Fly A Kite...

That's just what we did Wednesday night!! We stopped off at Toys R Us and got ourselves a princess kite! We stopped of at a pizza joint in Lakewood and then headed off to Edgewater Park! Madison had a blast! We got the kite in the air and she took off running with it! Way to cute! We then had some Honey Hut Ice Cream and watched the lake for a little! It was and awesome relaxing evening! Can't wait to do it again!

Sunday Funday...Poolside!

This Sunday was spent poolside thanks to Aunt Amanda! He had us over to go swimming! It was a blast! Madison is getting better and better in the water! Thanks Aunt Amanda! We can't wait to do it again!
