Jon and I have a routine down in the evenings during the week. After dinner, I clean up the kitchen, aka, mop the floor, wipe the walls etc. and he takes Madison up stairs for bath and jammies. Well, the other day, I was downstairs silently wishing we had a live in maid, and Jon yelled down and told me to bring up the camera. This is what I saw:
Now, just so you all know, this was right before Madison decided she wanted to poop in the tub again. LOL, we hurried up and pulled her out of the tub and she took off down the hall naked as a jay bird soaking wet, laughing! This was what I caught on film.
Needless to say, it was an interesting and funny (after it was all cleaned up) evening.

Giant Gummy Bear
Okay, so one cool thing about having a little one is being able to be a kid again yourself! :) I was walking through Toys R Us the other day and came across THE coolest thing ever! It was a two pound gummy bear. Now, logically, what person in their right mind would a) want to eat that much sugar and b) actually but if for their toddler....Ummm that would be me! LOL! Jon almost died when I walked in the door with it! We let Madison have it the other night (and yes, she only took a couple of bits before we took it away from her). So, enjoy the pictures of us getting our kid hopped up on sugar! hehehehe!
The Last Few Days of Summer
While the weather is still nice here we have been taking advantage! We have been playing outside and venture to local parks! Just up the street from us there is a cute little park in North Olmsted. They have a great play area for smaller kids! Madison loves the slide! I think we probably went down that slide 100 times. She is still not a big fan of the swings, but we are working on that.
Jon wasn't feeling well this past weekend so Madison and I ventured to the park in Bay with Marty, Nancy, and Ty! I have to say that this park is great! It is huge! It's also nice that it is all fenced in so the kids can just run and parents can relax a little bit. They also had some great things for the smaller kids. Madison loved the car and the sand pit that they had!
North Olmsted also had their homecoming fair this past weekend so we went over for a bit to eat and let Madison walk around. She had a hot dog and french fries and played a few games! She won a little tiara and a blow up Dora!
All in all, we are enjoying the last few days of summer!

The County Fair
As if going peach picking wasn't enough for one day, after Madison had her nap, Jon was done with the yard so we decided to head out to the Cuyahoga County Fair. It was so much different this year with Madison walking around! She loved, loved, loved looking at the animals. She was especially fond of a sheep that kept sticking its nose through the fence at her. She would kneel down and the jump up laughing hysterically! She also got to do a pony ride this year! She loved it! As we went around in a circle, she would wave and blow kisses at everyone! She also enjoyed petting the pony's mane. We then walked around and grabbed some food! Of course Madison had to have a hot dog, or as she calls them hot doggie! LOL, love that kid! We then played a few games and ended the evening with fried koolaid! Good call Aunt Amanda! Awesome! So, just for fun, here is a picture of Madison last year at the county fair.
And the below pictures are from this year!

Peach Picking
The other weekend Jon got to work on planting the grass in the yard. For those of you who don't know, we finally leveled out the backyard so next year Madison will have a huge, wonderful yard to play in. Instead of Madison and I wasting a Saturday morning, we ventured out to pick some peaches. Amanda and Rachel joined us on this adventure, and an adventure it turned out to be! We first headed to Miller farm where we have done all our other picking this summer. We got there and sure enough, they weren't letting you pick your own peaches. We then tried three other farms that were out that way and they were all closed. So we decided to head back towards home. We got all the way back to Westlake and then Amanda found a farm on Google all the way out in Berlin Heights. So, we turned around and headed back out! LOL! We got there and had a great time! Madison really enjoyed eating some peaches and walking around. We got some awesome peaches and had a great day!
