This handsome man had his 30th birthday on July 20th!
We started the day off with a family trip to the zoo! Madison had a blast! We got to see the elephants and she actually stood still long enough to enjoy them. She also really enjoyed looking at the giraffes this time. It was hot out so we only stayed for a little, but had a great time while we were there.
We then headed downtown the the Westside Market! Madison really enjoyed this as well. She loves to people watch and she even got some treats! We stopped and had lunch at the Great Lake Brewery and the food was amazing!
Later that evening Jon and I went out to eat at Steak on a Stone! If you have never been, I highly recommend it! The food is fabulous and it is a different kind of eating experience. Little did Jon know, that while we were out to eat, our wonderful friends were getting the house ready for a SURPRISE PARTY!!! We got done eating pretty quick, so I was panicking because we couldn't get back to house until around 7:30 so I dragged Jon to Ace's for a drink. When I got the okay, we headed home, and I think he was actually surprised! This is amazing, because if you know me, I can't keep a secret!! :) It was a wonderful evening with great friends.
Happy Birthday, Jon! Madison and I love you very much!!!

Ryan and Rachel's Party
It's been a busy couple of weeks, so it's time to play catchup on the blog. These two are getting married next weekend!
All the girls got together at our house, while the guys went to Ryan's friends house in Lakewood for a few hours! The guys did god knows what, and the girls hung out and gossiped! We then all met up in Lakewood and hit a bar and hung out. It was a great night and we can't wait for the wedding!!

Red, White, & Blue - Flags & Tractors!
Okay, so we were all partied out from our busy weekend, but we had to celebrate the the 4th! Aunt Rachel and Uncle Ryan came over and we cooked out TWICE!! :) Hamburgers and hot dogs for lunch and ribs and corn for dinner!! YUMMY!!! Madison had a blast playing with Aunt Rachel most of the day! They played with the "doggies", played in the pool, did sidewalk chalk, bubbles, and ate popsicles!! Daddy and Uncle Ryan had wagon duty, and man, did they hook this kid up!! :) They managed to hook Madison's wagon up to the John Deer tractor that we have and had a make shift parade down the sidewalk!! The kid(s) (meaning Ryan and Jon) had a blast! Madison was sitting in the wagon, eating her blue popsicle, and dancing away! Every time they stopped pulling her she kept saying "buggy" and tried to get back in the wagon! We had an amazing day! Thanks Aunt Rachel and Uncle Ryan for spending the day with us!!!
Good Friends and Lots of Fun
This Sunday we celebrated the Fourth of July by having a little gathering at the house. Madison had a BLAST!!! She had fun being pulled in the wagon, playing in her pool, playing with bubbles, and being the center of everyone's attention. You will notice that she had many outfit changes throughout the day! Between swimming and eating, the kid got a little dirty a few times!! It was a wonderful evening with great friends!
Cherry Pickin', Ice Cream, and Swimming!
This past Saturday we had a fun filled day. We headed back out to Vermilion to Miller's Farm to pick some of these!!
They were absolutely fabulous! Madison had a blast running around and picking cherries. We really had to keep an eye on her because she kept trying to put the cherries in her mouth before we could get the pits out! She easily ate 15+ cherries out in the field. Once again she was covered head to to in in cherry juice instead of strawberry juice! :) Mommy wasn't thinking when she put her in a cream dress...oops!
After cherry picking we decided to stop at Swings & Things for some ice cream. Madison loved it! She literally stole my ice cream cone from me!
We then headed home and she took a nice 2 hour nap! When she woke up daddy had filled her little whale pool and we spent the rest of the afternoon outside playing in the water! It was a heck of a busy day, but well worth it!!!
